MC Labour fundraiser golf day

GOLFING FOR A CAUSE

MC Labour has supported the Blues Foundation since 2016 and this year decided to take their efforts a step further with the first annual MC Labour fundraising Golf Day. Held on Monday 12 February at Green Acres golf club, the day was enjoyed by all and has set a high standard for things to come.

With 21 teams gracing the course compiling of men and women from industry partners, suppliers and business connection, the day had an energetic vibe generating some friendly golfing competition. A top of 24 degrees, it was perfect weather to spend the morning teeing off.

Featuring Amanda Barker as guest speaker from the Blues Foundation, Carlton Respects, she brought home why this day was put together and the importance role awareness plays. A cause that touches everyone’s heart, Carlton Respects is aimed at changing attitudes, behaviour and/or environments to prevent violence before it occurs.

A decadent lunch following the game provided opportunity to find out more about the cause and dig deep during the raffle and auction of many, money can’t buy, experiences. Deemed an incredible success, the event raised in the vicinity of $20,000 and MC Labour are looking forward to offering an even bigger event the same time next year.

A huge thank you is required for everyone involved, including players, organisers and supporters that have all played an integral part in the success of this event. For more information about this cause http://bluesfoundation.org.au/
