Advance Services will work closely with community support organisations across Victoria to supply trades and labour from cohorts of disadvantaged communities who face barriers to employment in the building construction and civil infrastructure sectors.
WHAT WE DO
Wrap-around support for those facing barriers to employment
Advance Services works with its partners to support participants through:
- Training and mentoring job-ready candidates from diverse cohorts facing barriers to employment. Through personalised guidance, we equip them with the skills and confidence necessary to thrive in the workforce.
- Mentoring candidates towards securing sustainable employment at client worksites based on aligning their skills, experience, and career aspirations.
- Training and mentoring job-ready candidates from diverse cohorts facing barriers to employment. Through personalised guidance, we equip them with the skills and confidence necessary to thrive in the workforce.
JOIN THE TEAM
Eligibility Criteria
Participants must meet the following eligibility criteria to participate in the program.
- Ex-offenders/Returning citizens
- Youth Justice
- Veterans/Ex-servicemen and women
- Aboriginal people and/or Torres Strait Islander people
- Newly arrived migrants from non-English speaking backgrounds
- People who are seeking asylum/refugees
- Young people aged between 17- 19 years not engaged in education or training for six months or more (less than 8 hours per week).
- Mature participants aged between 20-64 years; Unemployed for six months or more (less than 8 hours per week) and not engaged in education or training for six months or more (less than 8 hours per week).
- Young people (17 to 24 years of age) who have been, or are currently on, Youth Justice Orders.
